Capital Title owns a proprietary, comprehensive set of real estate records for Shawnee County, organized and indexed on a computer data base to make searching and examining your title fast and easy.  State of the art computer systems provide the infrastructure for electronic delivery of title insurance products and information.

The company was founded by Jeffrey J. Amrein, an attorney licensed to practice law in the State of Kansas. Mr. Amrein began in the title insurance industry in 1984 and has worked in various capacities for national underwriting companies handling commercial transactions, closings, underwriting, claims and agency operations.  He is a frequent speaker at title insurance schools and conventions, as well as Bar Association activities and offers years of underwriting experience to the staff and customers of Capital Title.

Capital Title is underwritten by Commonwealth Land Title Insurance Company, with over One Billion dollars of financial strength backing each policy issued. The company’s philosophy is to manage the real estate transaction from the customers perspective. With this approach the company has demonstrated superior service and is recognized for its friendly and focused delivery of title insurance and closing services.

Douglas County
Capital Title opened in Douglas County on August 1, 2003 and is managed by Lisa Henry, Vice President and Licensed Title Agent. Lisa has 12 years of title and closing experience. Native of Western Kansas, Lisa has moved to Lawrence with her 2 daughters Megan, 18 and Lacey, 15.
